Our Poverty Elimination (PE) Program is a flagship initiative designed to help low-income families break the cycle of poverty and build sustainable livelihoods.
Helping low-income families to break the cycle of poverty and build sustainable livelihoods.
Using a holistic family development approach, the program addresses the root causes of poverty by strengthening human capital, expanding access to opportunities and resources, and improving income, living conditions, and overall well-being. SJDA acts as an enabling institution, supporting households to become self-reliant, resilient, and capable of continuously improving their quality of life.
Over a period of 2 to 5 years, participating families receive tailored mentorship and technical assistance from dedicated family mentors to develop and implement a Family Development Plan aligned with the family’s aspirations. The program combines economic development interventions, such as skills training, micro-enterprise support, productive assets, and agriculture and livestock initiatives, with targeted social support in education, health, food security, and housing. Financial literacy and savings are also promoted to ensure long-term financial stability, while Community Economic Development initiatives address systemic barriers and promote broader economic growth in the communities.
Through its integrated, long-term approach, the program is transforming vulnerable families into economically empowered contributors to their communities
